Claire's creative nonfiction writing has received numerous awards, including a nomination for a Pushcart Prize, first prize in the ASJA's Annual Writing Awards in the Personal Essay category, and the grand prize of the Hippocampus Creative Nonfiction 2020 contest.

She is currently working on her first book, based on her award-winning essay, Dead Weight.
